Anime Destiny Boss Guide — Strategies & Counters
Boss mechanics, recommended units, and strategies for every major boss fight.
Boss Fundamentals
Boss fights are the ultimate test of squad composition. Bosses have high HP, shields, enrage timers, and unique mechanics. Unlike story mobs, bosses require focused single-target damage, shield breaking, and survival utility.
Tip: Always bring at least one shield breaker and one single-target DPS to every boss fight.
Shield Breaking Strategy
Many bosses cycle through shield phases where direct damage is heavily reduced. Shield-breaking units like Magicbane (x2 shield break), Crow Prodigy (x1.5), and Frozen Moon deal bonus damage to shields. Time your shield-breaker abilities to match the boss's shield cycle.
Tip: Watch for the shield icon above the boss HP bar — switch aggro to shield-breaking units during shield phases.
Igris Boss Event
Igris is a recurring limited-time boss event with extremely high HP and a 5-minute timer. Recommended setup: 2 Mythic+ DPS units (Red Emperor, Eternal Night), 1 shield breaker (Magicbane), 1 freeze utility (Frozen Moon). Place units in a triangle formation around the boss path.
Tip: Igris drops exclusive evolution materials. Farm this event whenever available to stockpile materials for Mythic evolutions.
Titan Boss Event
The Titan boss summons adds that deal heavy AOE damage. Bring AOE units like Founding Titan or Destruction God to clear adds while maintaining boss damage. The Titan Core artifact is a guaranteed exchange from this event.
Tip: Kill adds within 10 seconds of spawn to prevent them from overwhelming your units.
Enrage Timers
Most bosses enrage at 30% HP, gaining +50% attack speed and new attack patterns. Burst damage is critical here — use your highest DPS units' cooldowns during the enrage phase to finish the boss before it overwhelms your squad.
Tip: Save your strongest artifact-boosted upgrades for the enrage phase. Berserker Emblem is excellent here.
Smart Spending Tips
- •Equip Demon Shard on your main boss DPS for +40% damage and +15% crit damage.
- •Shadow Essence artifact gives +30% boss damage — perfect for dedicated boss-killer units.
- •Synergy pairs like Shadow Monarch + Crimson Knight provide +30% damage boost during boss fights.
- •If struggling with a boss, upgrade your DPS to level 5 and equip an A-tier artifact before retrying.
