Neverness to Everness (NTE) currently has no traditional PvP mode. The game is designed around a single-player PvE experience with all combat content targeting AI enemies and bosses.
Current Competitive Features
Leaderboards
NTE features multiple ranking systems:
- Abyss/Anomaly Rankings: Ranked by clear speed and remaining HP
- DPS Leaderboard: Shows highest DPS team compositions and characters
- Exploration Progress: Ranks 100% exploration completion speed
Leaderboards are asynchronous — no real-time player vs player combat needed.
Co-op Multiplayer
- Up to 4-player online co-op
- Explore the world, challenge dungeons and bosses together
- Enemy HP scales with player count
- Not PvP — all participants cooperate against AI
Arena Mode (Possible Future)
The dev team has mentioned considering competitive content in interviews, but nothing is implemented in v1.0 or v1.1. Possible future directions include character arena, team ranked matches, and guild battles.
Why No PvP?

Verdict
NTE currently has no PvP. Competitive content may come in the future. If you're a pure PvP player, NTE may not be ideal. But the PvE content is exceptionally deep with exploration, story, and boss fights offering substantial replayability.
