NTE Guide - Neverness to Everness WikiCharacter leveling is the foundation of combat power in Neverness to Everness. Understanding material requirements at different stages helps allocate stamina efficiently and prevents wasting precious resources on characters you may not prioritize long-term.
Level 1-20: Quick Transition
Material consumption is low during this phase. Progress naturally through main quests and exploration without worrying too much about efficiency. Focus on getting your main DPS character to level 20 as quickly as possible, as early game difficulty scales with character level. Side characters can lag behind since most early content only requires one strong carry.
Level 20-40: First Bottleneck
Specialized breakthrough materials are needed starting at level 20. Split stamina 50/50 between character leveling materials and skill upgrade materials. This is when you should decide on your core team of 4 characters to invest in. Avoid spreading resources across too many units, as the material costs ramp up significantly. Weekend dungeons often offer double rewards for leveling materials.
Level 40-60: Peak Consumption
This is the most resource-intensive phase in the game. Plan your characters in advance to avoid wasting materials on units that will eventually be benched. Elite materials become gating factors, and each character requires specific domain drops. Coordinate your farming schedule around the daily rotation of material dungeons.
Level 60-80: Careful Planning
High-level materials are harder to obtain and require concentrated farming. Pay attention to specific dungeon schedules and use double stamina events wisely. Consider saving some stamina potions for events that offer bonus rewards for ascension materials. At this stage, focus exclusively on your two strongest teams rather than building new units.
Level 80: Max Level Strategy
After reaching max level, save surplus materials for future new characters. The meta shifts with each patch, and having a stockpile of materials lets you immediately build newly released characters. Convert excess low-tier materials into higher tiers through the crafting system rather than letting them sit unused in your inventory.
