NTE Hidden Quests and Chest Collection Guide

Hethereau hides numerous secret quests and treasure chests beyond the main storyline. This guide helps you find them all.

Hidden Quest System

Hidden quests don't appear in the quest log until triggered by specific conditions:

Time-based: Some quests only appear during in-game day or night.

Location-based: Entering hidden areas triggers quests automatically.

NPC interaction: Talking to specific NPCs or performing certain actions.

Item triggers: Picking up specific items unlocks related hidden quests.

Hidden Quest Types

Mysterious Commissions: Special tasks from enigmatic NPCs in secluded areas. Rewards include rare materials and exclusive items.

Collection Series: Triggered by collecting specific items (anomaly fragments, memory shards, etc.).

Chain Quests: Multi-step sequences where completing one unlocks the next, with escalating rewards.

Timed Challenges: Defeat all enemies within a time limit in specific areas.

Chest System

Chests come in four tiers:

Common (white): Basic materials, small currency. Most numerous.

Exquisite (blue): Better materials, moderate currency. Slightly hidden.

Precious (purple): Rare materials, substantial currency. Requires puzzles or challenges.

Magnificent (gold): Rarest — precious items and large resources. Linked to hidden quests or complex puzzles.

Collection Tips

1. 1Watch for visual cues: Glowing objects, unusual terrain, interactable items.
2. 2Use vehicles to cover more ground while searching.
3. 3Check minimap for subtle hints near hidden content.
4. 4Night exploration: Some content only appears at in-game night.
5. 5Talk to every NPC — some hint at hidden content locations.
6. 6Experiment with environment interactions.
