NTE Beginner Resource Planning Guide — Mistakes to Avoid & Efficient Start

The beginner phase is the most critical stage in Neverness to Everness (NTE). Proper resource allocation will save you weeks of grinding. Here are community-tested tips for an efficient start.

The most common mistake is investing in too many characters at once. NTE is very strict with resources.

• Focus on only 4-6 characters (one full team + 1-2 substitutes)
• Once your main team is set, reduce to just 4 characters

Recommended build order:

1. 1Xiaozhi — Free max awakening, zero-cost powerhouse, invest first
2. 2Nanally — Limited S-rank, strongest main DPS at launch
3. 3Jiuyuan or Sakiri — Beginner selector picks, core teammates
4. 4Mint — Excellent free Anima main DPS
5. 5Esper Zero — Versatile Cosmos element cycler

Character Pixels are among the most precious resources — only regenerating 1 every 6 minutes.

Priority order:

1. 1Character ascension materials — Highest priority, blocks progression
2. 2EXP materials — Without levels, you can't unlock new skills
3. 3Console — Do NOT invest early! Wait for Golden Console unlocks

Key: Never waste Pixels on low-tier Console. Only Golden Console is worth the investment.

Annulith is the rarest currency: 160 Annulith = 1 pull.

Absolute rules:

• ✅ Only use Annulith for Solid Dice (limited character banner)
• ❌ NEVER spend on Fabricated Dice (standard banner is permanent, you'll pull eventually)
• ❌ NEVER use Annulith to refresh Character Pixels
• ✅ If you already have the limited character, consider spending some on the Arc weapon banner

City Tycoon makes up nearly half of NTE's gameplay content, but many beginners completely skip it.

Why it matters:

• Leveling up Tycoon unlocks fishing, racing, shop management
• You can earn a fully awakened free S-rank character and signature Arc
• Weekly City Stamina converts to Fons (in-game currency)

Tip: When stuck on main story level requirements, switch to City Tycoon tasks for resources.

Fons are the general in-game currency and become very scarce in mid-to-late game.

• Don't rush to buy vehicles — prioritize Tycoon level upgrades
• Weekly City Tycoon is a major Fons source
• Explore Hethereau city for dropped wallets and items that convert to Fons

The game offers a free S-rank character selector:

• First choice: Jiuyuan — Top-tier Anima sub-DPS, perfect synergy with Nanally
• Second choice: Sakiri — Grouping + 30% Team ATK buff, universal support
• Consider 1st Awakening Jiuyuan/Sakiri if you already have one

F2P Team: Nanally + Esper Zero + Mint + Sakiri/Adler

Advanced Team: Nanally + Sakiri + Esper Zero + Hathor (quad Esper Cycle reactions)

• Complete Daily Commissions
• Spend City Stamina
• Progress Main Story (unlocks more features and areas)
• Participate in Limited Events (generous rewards, no reruns)
