NTE currently features 38 playable characters across S-rank and A-rank rarities. Each character has unique attributes, weapon types, and combat roles. This article introduces all characters organized by attribute.
Attributes are divided into six categories: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Chaos, Psyche, and Lakshana. Each has corresponding elemental relationships to consider when building teams.
Cosmos characters excel at burst damage with AoE abilities and strong crowd-clearing capabilities. They deal bonus damage against Chaos enemies. Anima characters lean toward support and healing, providing team buffs and HP recovery. While direct damage isn't outstanding, they're essential for challenging content.
Incantation characters specialize in sustained damage and debuffs, stacking negative effects to weaken enemies over time. Their design is strategic, requiring careful skill sequencing. Chaos characters feature high-frequency attacks and agile movement, appealing to players who enjoy fast-paced combat.
Psyche characters focus on control and support, with abilities that restrict enemy movement. Their crowd control is invaluable in team dungeons. Lakshana is the most unique attribute, featuring mechanics that alter battlefield rules like terrain changes or special zone creation.
Weapon types include Greatsword, Sword, Polearm, Catalyst, and Bow, each with different attack ranges and speeds. Greatsword characters hit hard but attack slowly, perfect for burst damage. Sword users are versatile. Polearm users have extended range. Catalyst users are ranged magic dealers. Bow characters attack from safe distances.
Roles are primarily divided into DPS, Sub-DPS, Support, and Tank. S-rank characters generally have higher base stats, but A-ranks can excel in specific team compositions. New players should focus on building one main carry first, then gradually completing the team.
For character acquisition, S-ranks come primarily from gacha with some as limited banners. A-ranks have more acquisition paths including story rewards, events, and gacha byproducts. The game encourages diverse team building through its resonance system - mono-attribute teams are rarely optimal.
Detailed character data, skill multipliers, build recommendations, and team compositions are available on each character's detail page.
